One Month.

It's been one month since this photo was taken of Daddy and Maelee's hands. I know Maelee would have adored her daddy.

We only have a handful of photos from the photographer and we'll get more soon. We'll post a few... when we're ready.

Greg has been writing songs for Maelee. Maybe we'll post some with guitar and singing eventually. Here's the lyrics for one to commemorate one month.

Perfect Peace

Pink is on my mind
Think about you all the time
Pink is on my mind
Life goes on, but you stopped time

Perfect peace
And closed tight eyes

Out of the womb

There were no cries

Pink is all I see
When I wake and when I sleep
Pink is all I see
Know my love in this deep grief

That little hand is one of the most beautiful hands I've ever seen. This is a beautiful photo. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

The song lyrics brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry you guys are in pain.

That picture is precious! We imagine it is bittersweet to look at and a little tough to share. But thank you for sharing. Maelee had perfect, beautiful, tiny little fingers. Still praying.

Maelee had beautiful hands. Long fingers like Greg! What a beautiful picture. I am so glad that you had the photographer take them. They are something that is hard to see now but you will be forever thankful to have them. Thanks so much for sharing this and your hearts with us. I think of you three many, many times a day and pray for you often. I will be praying for you as this weekend will be hard to celebrate mother's day without Maelee in your arms! Diane

Beautiful picture...we're so incredibly sorry you two are having to go through this. God brought to mind Lam. 3:22-23 the other day and I thought of you guys. We love you, praying for you daily!

What a sweet picture and song. I hope that writing those songs can be part of both your healing. The above mentioned passage, actually Lam 3:19-26 was a passage I read over and over again after Micah died. It brought great hope and comfort to me and I still return to it often.

Greg and Heather,

You are amazing parents.
Maelee is incredibly blessed.
I can't imagine how excited she is to know not only how much God loves her but how much you guys love her too.

I think she loves and delights in her song just like our heavenly father delights in the songs we sing to him.

Keep singing.

Always,

Linnea

Guys,

We have been mourning and aching at this one month mark. Oh precious Maelee, precious mother and father, we love you all and are still weeping, still praying, begging our good and willing Father for grace and peace for you.

How we love you all. We're asking for a sweet time away for this weekend.

Trusting he will continue giving you songs and even new strength to sing for his praise and your hope...
